No boot from firewire800 disc

Aug 6, 2011 @ 5:51 pm

Hello.
clone made under Mac OSX 10.6.8 doesn't boot anymore from firewire800 disk => Kernel panic !
configuration : iMac 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo + clone on disk DMI firewire800 (GUID) and latest version of CCC.

Does not work aswell with SuperDuper.
The only way I have found to get a bootable disk is to restore the internal drive to a firewire disk with 'Disk Utility'.

Yours Sincerely.
Dave Lequesne.

'Hands Off!' running background was the trouble maker! completely uninstalled it and the next clone was totally operational (again). Tip : •deactivate 'Hands Off!' and probably 'Little Snitch' before cloning, OR
•create a rule in 'Hands Off!' to allow CCC everything (not sure it works)
• in a next version of CCC, insert a warning if those programs are running silently in your back !
