Restoring files from a remote Macintosh is nearly the same procedure as backing up to a remote Macintosh:

  1. Open CCC
  2. Click the "New Task" button in the Toolbar
  3. Select "Remote Macintosh..." from the Source selector*. Configure the hostname of the remote Macintosh and the path to the volume or folder that has the backup.
  4. Select a destination volume
  5. Click the Clone button

* The option to clone "Selected files" will be disabled. CCC won't know the contents of the remote folder until the copying task has begun. If you need to limit what files are restored, you can specify a custom filter via Advanced Settings.
